This is Marci – Range Rider in the Centennial Valley, Montana, USA.
A range rider is a cowboy conservationist who keep track of both cattle and their predators for the benefit of both ranchers and wildlife.
The success of wolf reintroduction to Yellowstone National Park and Central Idaho coupled with natural recolonization from Canada has resulted in a biological success story. To handle a carnivore that is highly mobile, has high reproductive rates, eats all year long, and can have economic impacts to livestock producers, a range rider keep an eye on both cattle and the many species whose survival depends on their good stewardship.
On assignment as photographer and videographer for The Nature Conservancy.
